1940s evening dresses 1940s Evening Gown One Shoulder Black Dress Size M For You by BlanesThis is a stylish one shoulder black dress from the 1940s. This vintage evening gown features a draped bodice and three tiered skirt. It has stays to keep the bodice in place two stays at the front and one in the back on the side without the strap. I am uncertain if there should be a 4th stay on the side where the strap is. It has a long metal zipper down the back. Age: 1940s / early 1950s

Label: For you by Blanes

Blanes was a London company that made evening and day dresses from the 1940s through to the 1960s.

Color: Black

Fabric: Rayon Chiffon with taffeta lining.

No size is indicated, but this should fit a medium size - please note the following measurements for fit:

Bust: 34"

Waist: 25"

Hips: 38 " meant to fall loosely

Length: 57"

Condition:

This dress is in good condition with some small condition problems. There are about 10 very teensy holes in the chiffon in the bottom tier of the dress and one 1" tear to the chiffon near the hemline of the dress. The lining is also torn away around the zipper area at the skirt area.  None of this is that noticeable and certainly could be worked on to either eliminate or diminish the damage.

Despite the small problems, this is a lovely evening gown from a very glamorous period.

Pretty funny
Format: Hardcover
The book gives us a more focused outlook on Chieg Wiggum. Full of its funny moments, I`d recomend this to huge Simpsons fans as it seems the shows writers managed to give us another hit.

Not the best, but not the worst either
Format: Hardcover
By any means not the funniest book in the series, only the one on Krusty the Clown was more un-funny; but still a worthy addition to your collection and, just like all the others from the series providing a retrospective of anecdotes you might have forgotten.
